DAY TOUR

Corio Bay Cruise tour includes: Coach travel, morning tea, lunch cruise on Corio Bay, tour of The Heights.

Departing home in the morning we head down the freeway to Geelong, which has evolved from its industrial roots into a vibrant and fast growing city with a focus on great food and wine and its thriving waterfront precinct.  On arrival we make a stop at the Geelong Botanic Gardens for morning tea from the coach.

​We then move on to the waterfront, where we board the Hygeia for our two hour cruise on Corio Bay cruise.  Whilst onboard we enjoy a lovely two course meal, we can take in the panoramic views of Geelong’s award winning waterfront, catch sight of yachts and cargo shops, and if the conditions are right, we may see to the You Yangs and beyond.

​Back on dry land, we travel to Newton for a guided tour of The Heights Heritage House and Garden.  Made to order in Germany, the house was exported to Australia and assembled in 1854, becoming the home for 3 generations of the Ibbotson family before it was bequeathed to the National Trust.  Our tour will give us a glimpse into the history of this beautiful home, and the people that lived there for more than 120 years!

Early this evening we arrive back in the city.
