Group Tours that create lifelong friendships, not to mention all the other benefits!

Have you ever thought about the benefits of joining group tours?  Next time you are thinking about heading off in the car to somewhere new with your other half, why not consider joining a group tour instead?  Here are some of the benefits that you gain from travelling with a group:

  • Travelling in a small group makes meeting new friends easy – each day you have meals together, you travel on buses, trains, or perhaps planes together.  While you are doing this, you have things in common to talk about.  This usually then leads to stories of past experiences, and before you know it – you’ve made new friends.
  • Meeting new friends on tour usually leads to arranging another tour together to some other great place, and even catching up in between tours to reminisce about the time you went away to the last place.
  • Perhaps you already know some of the people in the travelling group, and it’s a chance to have a laugh with old friends each day!
  • You have a variety of people to mix with – if you’re sick of the sight of your travelling companion – there are many more around you with a fresh set of ears!
  • Sit back and relax while the bus driver worries about where you need to turn, or stop for a break – no more arguing about whether you’re going the right way!
  • Having all the timings & decisions made for you means there is no need to worry about whether you should go here or there or how long it will take, or how long you will need there—your prepared itinerary has that covered too!
  • No worries about where to park…. most times the driver drops you at the door!
  • Enjoy lots of delicious food pre-arranged for you (often with choices) and of course cheaper than what you would pay if you purchased it yourself.
  • Having all your costs covered before you leave so you don’t have to consider – “is it worth paying $20 to go into this place?”  If you’ve already paid before you left home, you just walk right in and enjoy it for what it is.  No need to worry about how much bacon & eggs will cost for breakfast each morning – you’re on holidays – someone else is cooking it and cleaning up – and it’s included in the cost already!
  • Visiting places open to groups that may not be available to individual travellers.  Often there will be a guided tour, an informative talk, or even an entertaining show thrown in… for the group!
  • Listening and learning, from the informative commentary from the places you visit, or from the bus driver as you drive down the road.
  • Visiting places on the map that you may never have thought would have anything interesting on offer, but because they are included in the itinerary you go along and to your surprise you hear yourself saying “that was amazing”!
